About the Show

Masters of Mayhem will star all your most-hated villains…because we can’t all be the superhero. There will be two shows this year!

Early Show (5 p.m.) – Open to youth performers and beginner students

This show is our family-friendly show. You can be a little scary but nothing too dark or adult-themed. Open to all performers, no audition required. Spots will be limited, so sign up early!

 

Late Night Show (8:30 p.m.) – Open to Intermediate/Advanced students

This show will be more adult-themed and not appropriate for young children. This show is by invitation and/or audition only.

 

Show Requirements

  • All performers must follow the theme with their music, costuming, and choreography.
  • All showcase participants must be regularly taking classes and/or private lessons. Failure to meet this requirement may result in removal from the showcase.
  • The early show is family-friendly, so all movement, costumes, and music choices must be appropriate. No explicit or overly violent themes.
  • Participants can choose to choreograph their own routines or book private lessons with an instructor to choreograph. All choreography must be original (not taken verbatim from Instagram/YouTube). All choreography and music must fit the theme.
  • All showcase participants must meet the below deadlines and attend all mandatory rehearsals. Failure to meet deadlines may result in removal from the showcase.
  • Apparatus choice will be first come/first served. If you have a preference, please let us know ASAP so you can claim that apparatus. We will limit the number of each apparatuses.
  • Song choice will be first come/first served. If you have a preference, please let us know ASAP so you can claim that song.

 

Important Dates

September 10 – Audition for Cabaret Show

September 30 – Final Music Track and Video of Final Routine Due

Dates TBD – Additional Cabaret Show Rehearsals to be Scheduled in October 2023

October 22 – Mandatory Dress/Tech Rehearsal for Early Show

October 23 – Show Order/Music Playlist Finalized

October 27 – Mandatory Dress/Tech Rehearsal for Cabaret Show

October 28 – Day of Show. Call time is 1.5 hours prior to start time of show
